A single parent and Real Estate Broker to boot!

Jennifer has raised two sons as a single parent and is very proud of them and what they are doing with their lives.
Jeremy returned as a teacher  to his alma mater, Wilson High School.  At Wilson Jeremy was a team player and Co-captain of the football team. He earned MVP Award his senior year in Baseball. He loves coaching and helping players develop their skills. In addition to teaching Math and Global Studies, he coaches Football, Wrestling and Baseball.   2008 brought a another big change to our lives. Jeremy and his wife, Darcy, welcomed their baby daughter, Olivia, into the world October 10, 2008. A first for Jennifer ...her first Grand Baby! Jeremy is blessed with his wife of 7/7/2007, Darcy, (the daugher of a former coach, mother of two; Derek who is 12 and  Baby Olivia) who also works at Wilson. Derek plays football, basketball and baseball.  They are One busy, happy family!!  Of course Grammy Jen finds time to babysit pretty regularly... and you might even see her teaching Olivia the RE business on occassion!! Let's see what happens in 2010 !

Ryan followed in his brother's footsteps graduating June 2007 from Portland State University with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing.
Ryan loved snow boarding while in High School. He was a coach for the Snow Board Team for two years after graduation. Jennifer recalls mid week bus trips to Mt. Hood Meadows for practice. She was often the solo chaperone for that bus load of teenagers. (The Photo is an real photo of Ryan doing a back flip at Meadows.)

After Ryan's trip to Florence Italy summer of 2006 to study Italian and taste wines, he settled down to finish his studies at PSU. His job as a waiter's assistant and waiter at the Benson Hotel's London Grill provided him the opportunity to learn much about food preparation, wine, restaurant management, and PR.  He has prepared some outstanding dinners for family and friends that make all wonder why he doesn't do it for a living, but he says he just enjoys sitting down with family and friends at a fine meal more than cooking for a living. His interests are changing and since his graduation in 2007 he is now exploring other career avenues. Still working in the food Services business in downtown Portland, he is preparaing himself to make his first home purchase. He will then be able to transplant the little fir tree he was given after running in the Portland Marathon in 2007...one week before his 25th Birthday!  He did a terrific job of training that year, quite an accomplishment!  and Life goes on!!
"Let's get out there and find that new home..before the good ones get taken!" is his mom's current advice.
Now that her sons are grown and independent, Jennifer is finding more time for other interests. Travel is on hold as Jennifer is having fun with landscaping the yard around her older single level home which she purchased late in 2006. Summer of 2008 she unloaded a u-haul truck full of 3200# of ledger rock for some low garden walls she is building. The move of her business and household after 19 years to a new location was quite an undertaking as all who have done that know. Before she moved in..a new roof, new hardwood flooring, all new windows and doors, new furnace and hot water heater, new interior paint were the larger projects completed within 6 weeks of her purchase. She still credits her years of experience, good rapport with contractors she has worked with, and her referral network in general for the smooth transition and getting the work done in such a short period of time. She is grateful to all who provided their services so efficiently to make her home as comfortable as it is. Everyone was terrific although she does not plan on another move for a long long time. " I am blessed and I am here to stay!"   "I have great neighbors on all sides...infact the whole cul-de-sac."

2008 brought Jennifer's mother, Dorothy, to live with her.  Jennifer's brother, Jim Watson, and nephew, Jon Watson, being contractors, turned two small bedrooms into a nice suite for Grandma Watt as all the Grandchildren call her. She is now settled in and loving it.  Still very independent, soon to celebrate her Big 90, she enjoys emailing friends and family on her computer and watching the Mariner Baseball games. In 2010 she looks forward to a new year of blessings.  Each day is new to her.

Jennifer says their lives are never dull, in addition to the work she loves, always full of family, activity, fun, adventure and never ending change. Have Jennifer join you in your next adventure in home buying or selling.  You will be glad you did. "I am just a call away, and ready to serve."  503-780-7145.
